My Story

How Acupuncture Saved My Life!

By Ynge Ljung, AP

How did I get into Acupuncture and healing?

All my life, I had a tendency for fibrocystic breasts. I had 3 lumpectomies on my right breast.

About a year after my last operation, I woke up with a strong pain on my other breast. It was very swollen and hard. I could not even wear a bra!

I thought it would pass. I waited a couple of weeks before I went to see the doctor that performed the last operation.

When he examined me, he said, “Oh, This is very dangerous. You really have to take this out immediately! And, since you have a history of this on the other breast, it’s better to take out both!”

I said, “What do you mean, take out?”

He said, “Mastectomy, of course. You can easily live without your breasts. We have excellent implants.” He proceeded to show me some purple plastic things in different sizes.

I thought to myself, “I wonder how much he would like to have some implants in him!”

I did not go back! Another surgery was not an option for me.

This was December, my busiest month. On top of everything else, we had a tragic death in the family. December was a tough month for me.

I started searching for ways to resolve my problem without surgery without much success. I did many things, but nothing helped.

After more than a year of searching, I found Acupuncture! My very first treatment gave me relief, the first relief in almost a year!

Most of the pain was gone! The swelling went down and I felt a lot better! I continued to receive treatments for my breast.

When that improved, we switched treatments to my back, neck and shoulders that always hurt.  The treatments resolved the pain and helped me relax and made me feel better than I had for a very long time.

I turned into an acupuncture junkie! I don’t know, what would have happened if I had not found acupuncture.

Since then, I got my license and have been practicing for the last 13 years.

Acupuncture changed my life and profession! I graduated in 1995 and haven’t looked back since.

Now I devote my life in helping others to have a better life without un-necessary surgeries or drugs!

If you are in a position similar to mine, not liking the choices that are available in the real world, come to my office and see what I can offer. You owe it to yourself.
